Islanders are being encouraged to get active this May with the launch of Love to Ride’s 'Roll and Stroll' challenge.
By logging journeys on the 'Love to Ride app' or website, islanders are automatically entered into a series of UK and Jersey prize draws.
Prizes are available for both individuals and workplaces.
The challenge is designed to motivate people to walk, wheel, or cycle more as part of day-to-day life, while also reducing greenhouse gas emissions through reducing car travel.
Individual prizes:
- Earlybird sign‑up award: Garmin Forerunner fitness watch from Rock n’ Road
- Participation award (cycling): Shokz open‑ear headphones donated by the Powerhouse
- Participation award (walking/wheeling): Afternoon tea at The Atlantic Hotel and cycle hire (or EV transport) there
- Encourager award: 6‑month Active Gym membership
Workplace prizes will be awarded to the top‑performing organisation in each category (excluding the Government of Jersey):
- Largest workplaces: One‑hour online Move At Your Desk workshop for employees
- Large workplaces: Two hours of free ice cream from Lulu’s Ice Cream Bike
- Medium workplaces: Voucher for a team breakfast catered by Beresford Street Kitchen
- Small workplaces: Voucher for a team breakfast at or catered by Beresford Street Kitchen
- Smallest workplaces: Voucher for a team breakfast at Beresford Street Kitchen
You can sign up by visiting the Love to Ride app or website: Love to Ride Jersey.
