Islanders still have not been told when Rouge Bouillon will reopen, but they have been told it has been delayed.
The stretch of the ring road near Clarendon Road has been shut since mid-December, with an original reopening date estimated around the end of the Easter Holidays.
"While progress is being made, the complexity of the investigations may result in delays to the overall completion date.
"Every effort is being made to mitigate this and maintain progress."

However, the road is still closed after a sinkhole caused structural damage to a house on the corner of Clarendon Road and Rouge Bouillon.
The outbuildings of the house and boundary walls have been demolished.
Experts are continuing to survey the sinkhole, which was caused by a burst water main.
The government expects scaffolding to be removed from the site by next week, marking a 'big step' towards motorists and pedestrians using the road again.
