Survey Asks How To Make Bel Air Lane Safer

A public survey has opened into how to make Bel Air Lane in St Saviour safer for children walking to school.

The parish says improvements are a 'high priority' following concerns from residents and commuters.

Three options are being considered - which include footpaths or speed humps - and people are being asked to answer an online questionnaire before 10th February to say which they prefer.

The parish says the work forms part of the overall Safer Routes to Schools initiative in the St. Saviour schools area.

The action plan aims to 'encourage walking and cycling, reduce car use and congestion and provide safer and healthier travel options'.

A feasibility study for Bel Air Lane has been looking at options for managing parking and reducing traffic and speeds.
