A Police explosives expert has carried out a controlled explosion of a World War II German shell at First Tower.
It was found close to the beacon directly west of Elizabeth Castle.
The low water mark opposite First Tower has been cordoned off so the bomb can be dealt with.
On it's Facebook page, States of Jersey Police say the shell has now been safely disposed of.
