Jersey Electricity is carrying out 'urgent repairs' following a high voltage fault in the Springfield area of St Helier.
Work on the site, near the Robin Hood pub, will cause traffic disruption over the next seven days.
The utility company says the repairs are essential to maintain the security of the electricity supply.
It follows a power outage in the area on Tuesday morning (27 February).
Access to the road will be maintained, but islanders are being warned that their journeys may take longer, particularly at rush hour.
Works start at 6:00 pm on Wednesday (28 February), with teams working weekends and evenings to speed up the repair time.
Jersey Electricity has apologised for any inconvenience, but adds that there should be no interruption to electricity in the area.
