Venues Linked To Covid Cases Named

Venues linked to coronavirus cases and which have not collected sufficient contact details of their patrons will be named.

The Health Minister, Deputy Richard Renouf, says it's not to 'name and shame' - but so that others who were there can get tested.

Businesses - particularly those in hospitality - are being reminded they must maintain COVID-19 measures despite the latest relaxation of restrictions.

Where there's concern about a lack of contact details, the government will make public the name of the venue visited by someone who has tested positive.

The government says collecting contact tracing data remains a legal requirement, and contact tracing is critical to stopping the spread of the virus.

Islanders and arrivals are also strongly encouraged to download the island's COVID Alert app.
