A woman has been jailed for more than four years after stabbing a man in the lower back with a large kitchen knife.
He had to be put into an induced coma and needed surgery after the attack at a St Helier flat in April.
Lisa Michelle De Sousa, who is 38, has also been given a five-year restraining order after pleading guilty of Grave and Criminal Assault before the Royal Court in July.
Detective Constable Jeremy Percival says he commends the victim for coming forward:
"The victim has suffered considerably as a result of this attack and is still receiving ongoing support. I commend him for remaining firm in his stance to see justice done."
