Jersey Police have launched a murder investigation after a woman was stabbed at a home in St Peter.
The 68-year-old victim was taken to the Emergency Department at Jersey General Hospital but died from her wounds.
Police were called to the property by paramedics at 7pm on Tuesday. Armed officers were deployed.
A 40-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is being held in custody.
Police say the suspect and the victim knew each other and that nobody else is being sought in connection with the incident.
SoJP and Honorary Police have secured the scene.
The woman's family have been informed.
