A young Jersey sailor and Olympic hopeful has won £1000 to fund her dreams.
Jersey College for Girls pupil Bertille Bacquet has been awarded this year's Jersey Clipper Bursary.
The 16-year-old student is currently in the process of pursuing her goal of competing in the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
Bertille ha secured a place on Team GB Sailing's Crew4gold programme, which seeks to find a crew for the women's two-person 49erFX class in the Olympics.
This follows her previous success in rowing, where she represented France in international competitions.

Bertille Bacquet said she's going to put the money to good use:
"I hate spending my money, I usually save it all but if I find a really good boat, I'll invest all of it in it.
"I want to sail it in the nationals so I want a 29-er, so I'm really excited about that.
"I hope I can find a good one and end up in the Olympics in 2028."

The Jersey Clipper Bursary Award runner-up award has been given to Tyler Horton.
The 17-year-old has been given £500 from awards body.
Tyler coaches at St Catherine's Sailing club and plans to use the funds to obtain the RYA Race Coach Level 2 qualification.
