Heather Watson and Carl Hester continue their quest for Olympic glory in Paris.
It's all gone incredibly well for Heather Watson and her doubles partner Katie Boulter at Roland Garros, the tennis venue for Paris 2024.
The Olympic doubles partners dismissed the German duo of Angelique Kerber and Laura Siegemund in straight sets, 6-2 6-3, on Tuesday, 30 July.
They followed this up with another straight sets victory over the Brazilian duo of Beatrice Maia and Luisa Stefani, winning 6-3 6-4, on 31 July.
This puts them in the last eight.
Next, they face the third seeded Italians, Sarra Errani and Jasmine Paolini.
Sark dressage rider Carl Hester is in action on his horse Fame this weekend, in both the individual and team Grand Prix events.
He had a tough time of it at Chateua de Versailles on Tuesday, 30 July, in the opening group stage.
He came third, which meant he missed out on automatic selection. But his score of 77.34 was higher than that of the winners in the other two qualifying groups on the day.
Now that all the groups have competed, Carl Hester will go through to Sunday's Individual final with the seventh best score.
He is also part of the dressage team that rides on Saturday. He picked up a team Olympic dressage gold medal in London, 12 years ago and is competing in his 7th Games.
