Guernsey band to perform at the UK's biggest heavy metal festival

On Saturday 8 August, APOTHIS will perform at Bloodstock, in Derbyshire.

The UK's biggest heavy metal festival, Bloodstock, features more than 100 bands performing to around 80,000 fans over four days.

APOTHIS, a Guernsey band, features vocalist Drew Baudains, Leon Roze and Nathan Le Messurier on guitar, Tom Relf on bass and Michael Davies on drums.

They beat other metal acts in a battle of the bands competition to earn their time slot on the New Blood Stage.

Drew says it's a dream come true:

"It's one of the best things that could happen to us really as a band. It's great to have the opportunity to play on such a large stage.

"We will be performing all originals, a 30-minute-long set, so it'll be pretty much back-to-back songs.

"It's going to be a whole different experience.

"Bloodstock is second to none."

The Guernsey Arts Commission is covering the cost of travel.
