789 Guernsey pupils took part in a survey this spring, that was investigating activity levels of children.
Pupils from eleven of Guernsey's primary schools wore Moki monitors for two school days.
The wristbands are designed to track steps and the minutes of physical activity.
Here, the bands recorded up to 8,232 steps, and 35 minutes of exercise per student, per day.
That is 23% more than UK pupils who took part in the same study.
The Health Improvement's Be Active Lead Alun Williams says it is recommended that children are active for at least 30 minutes every day.
He wants to conduct more surveys on student movement.
"It is pleasing to see that children are being given the opportunity to be active throughout the school day.
We plan to extend the surveys to include more accurate information on out of school activities, including weekends.
The data will support the schools in developing whole schools approaches to physical activity."
