This year's Battle of Flowers will feature a drone show for the first time.
Organisers say 100 drones in the night sky over St Aubin's Bay will be the climax of the Moonlight Parade on Saturday 12 August.
"A drone light show, as seen recently as part of the jubilee celebrations in London, is the perfect finalé to the Moonlight Parade, and thanks to sponsorship from Butterfield Bank we have lift off! The evening parade - where the floats are decorated with lights - has been moved from the traditional Friday slot, while the Day Parade will be at 5pm on the Friday (11 August) instead of the usual second Thursday in August.
Also announced today is that the Notting Hill Carnival mas band Flagz will be taking part in both parades.
The 60th anniversary of The Beatles visit to the island (on 99 August 1963) will be celebrate with a performance by 'The Beantles'.
Mr Labey says Oliver Rybarczuk, Dan MacFarlane, Jordan Rondel and Tom Rolls will sing live and play live on a forty foot moving stage.
"They may be impersonating the Fab Four but their sound is incredibly authentic, we wanted to commemorate a real coup for Jersey to attract the Beatles to Springfield Stadium just as they hit super-stardom.”
