Police are appealing for information after a 61-year-old man was injured on Friday evening in St Helier.
The alleged assault involved a 61-year-old man and a group of youths believed to be aged between 16 and 20 years old.
It occurred between 12.40 am and 12.55 am - the early hours of Saturday 15 August - on Library Place.
The man, who was wearing a white shirt, beige linen trousers, and a black shoulder strap bag, is believed to have walked from the direction of Conway Street before the incident occurred.
The incident then caused him to run towards Natwest Bank on Library Place and then down Broad Street.
He was injured and went to hospital.
The parties involved are not believed to know each other.
