A 20-year-old student from Jersey has been inspired by her mum to take on three major endurance challenges for three charities.
Phoebe Le Breton is going to be running the London Half Marathon, the Lake District 100K Ultra Challenge and will climb Mouth Kilimanjaro in the space of five months for MacMillan Cancer Support Jersey, Breast Cancer Now and Dig Deep.
It follows her mum, Nicky's, breast cancer diagnosis in August 2025, which she says created a new reality for her and her family.
"The support I received from MacMillan was incredible.
"The challenges feel like an opportunity to put my gratitude into action and show my appreciation for everything that they do.
"It's a way of turning something difficult into something hopeful and showing people that they're not alone because the sense of community around us is what's carrying us through."

She says it is not about how hard the challenges are, but creating a ripple of hope for those in tough situations.
"It's not about me doing something extreme; it's about what happens when people come together.
"I'm raising funds and awareness for causes that are really important to me and touch my life and a lot of people's lives.
"The bigger message is community matters; the encouragement and support that I've been receiving online has been incredible."
There will be early mornings, sore muscles and days that push me to my limit. But when I feel like stopping I’ll think of my mum and of every family who needs someone in their corner.
- Phoebe Le Breton, 20
Phoebe's goal is to raise £1,000 through her GoFundMe page by completing events on 12 April (London Half Marathon), 6 and 7 June (Lake District Ultra Challenge), and finally 29 August (Mount Kilimanjaro climb).
