Swimarathon Raises £110,000

Swimmers taking part in this year's Swimarathon have raised £110,000.

That is the cash that has come in at the end of five days of action at Les Quennevais pool.

The Lions Club says further donations and sponsorship is expected in before it can declare a final total.

Around 4,000 people of all ages took part in the annual fundraiser.

Charities Brighter Futures, Caring Cooks, Mili's Separated Family Centre, Mind Jersey and Silkworth Lodge will each receive £10,000.

The Neil Hussey Heart Charity was named 'People's Choice' charity for 2019 and will also get £10,000.
